He is a credentialed Accredited Genealogist® with ICAPGen™ (specializing in Swedish research), and a member of the Association of Professional Genealogists. Andre began Find My Family LLC while working full-time as the Clerical Director at a respected professional genealogy firm. At the time, he was volunteering for extra project work outside of business hours — with the employer's blessing — as a way to sharpen his skills and build experience. His private side projects evolved organically into a trusted business, driven by word-of-mouth referrals, podcast and TV features, and numerous satisfied clients. Over the years Andre had the chance to work on projects commissioned by influential politicians and celebrities. In 2020, Price Genealogy acquired Lineages Genealogy, which had gained notoriety through its association with Find Your Roots and had developed a reputation among the rich and famous, particularly in Hollywood and on major network TV. Andre had chances to work on projects for A-list personality clients who continued working with Lineages after the acquisition occurred. 

When a business restructuring in April 2025 ended his ~7.75-year tenure at Price Genealogy, Andre was already running a thriving operation of his own. In the months that followed, I found myself weighing the next steps in my professional path, and I was honored to be strongly considered by three separate senior team leads from Legacy Tree Genealogists — each representing a different specialty: U.S. research, British Isles research, and DNA analysis. These were seasoned professionals, respected in their fields, and they independently expressed interest in having me join their respective teams.

The opportunity was validating — but in the end, I chose to continue growing my own practice, Find My Family LLC, where I could preserve the flexibility, variety, and personal connection with each client that first drew me to genealogical work. While Legacy Tree’s structure is impressive, I realized that my strength lies in providing tailored, one-on-one service, not delegating your research to someone you’ll never meet.

That near-hire experience confirmed something important — to me and to many in my personal and professional network: I wasn’t continuing to build this business because I couldn’t find a place at one of the big-name firms. On the contrary, I was honored when several senior leaders from one of the most respected genealogy companies each reached out to express interest in bringing me onto their respective specialized teams. The benefits, the award-winning work environment, and the promise of a regular paycheck were certainly tempting. But through that process, I realized that my heart is in the work I do directly with clients. I chose to stay the course with Find My Family LLC because I believe in a more personal, thoughtful approach — one where every client's project is more than just a case number. And if professionals at the top of the field saw something worth pursuing in me, I hope that gives you confidence that you’re in good hands here.

As both Research Director and President of Find My Family, Andre leads every project personally, employing a model that emphasizes specialist oversight rather than generic delegation. We’ve moved away from the old “clearinghouse” style, where client cases get handed off to whichever contractor was available, and instead adopted a focused, high-integrity system that puts Andre at the center of your project from start to finish.

If your case requires expertise beyond his core specialties — Scandinavia, the British Isles, and the United States (including DNA integration) — Andre selectively vets and coordinates with a small circle of trusted associates. He acts as your professional advocate, handling the strategy, communication, quality control, and billing on your behalf, so you don’t have to chase down or gamble on outside researchers yourself.

While larger companies may have slick platforms and polished branding, they often lack the personal connection and intentional focus you’ll receive here.
