Then the pieces are fit together in the form of a research report and accompanying documentation, family group sheets, and pedigree charts to construct a well-documented family tree. Step 1

Meeting your research goals requires more detailed information than a short sentence provides. A friendly research consultant will contact you to learn more about your goals and explain what we will do to try in reaching them. We want to hear family stories, find out how much research you have already done and if you have family trees or documents to share with us.

Step 2

You will complete a “Family Tree Research Packet” before research can begin, if you are just starting out and nobody has done anything to your knowledge as far as working on your family tree is concerned. We will study it carefully and reach out to you again if we need any more details. If you have your genealogy somewhere else, we will review what you have instead of the Family Tree Research Packet. Then we create a research plan and estimate how long it will take to complete your project.

Step 3

Research begins with accessing records online, ordering documents from record keepers around the world, and bringing in international agents to lend a hand when necessary. A consultant can update you throughout the process.

Step 4

Each project can be assembled into a printed booklet that includes a Research Report, Document Calendar, and photocopies or extracts of the documents used to verify your family tree. You can also order extra copies of reports for family members.
