Andre Bagley is a professional genealogist with an ICAPGen AG® credential in Swedish research who currently serves on ICAPGen's Level One Screening Committee. In addition to this credential, he brings considerable experience working with records from the US, British Isles, and Scandinavia across a wide variety of project types, including descendancy research, DNA-based casework, and forensic genealogy.
Andre worked full-time as a researcher and clerical director at Price Genealogy and Lineages Genealogy, two well-established companies serving the genealogical community, from 2017 to April 2025, with Lineages being acquired by Price Genealogy in 2020. There, he managed quality control across 100+ concurrent client projects and coordinated a team of 20+ researchers conducting studies across continental Europe, Scandinavia, the British Isles, the US and Canada, and Latin America. At Price Genealogy, he specialized in Scandinavian genealogical research in Sweden, as well as projects in Denmark, England, and the United States across various regions.
A significant portion of his work has involved tracing lineages forward into the 20th century, evaluating whether research subjects have living immediate family, and drawing defensible conclusions based on the documentary record. He has hands-on experience designing and executing DNA testing strategies, identifying and reaching out to living testing candidates, and analyzing DNA matches to solve complex research problems — including building trees for matches with no existing genealogies to identify common ancestry.
Andre now owns and operates Find My Family LLC, delivering tailored genealogical research services. He also collaborates with accomplished British Isles professional genealogists, several of whom worked at the FamilySearch Library in Salt Lake City, and has familiarity with Danish, Norwegian, and Finnish genealogy. He is also a colleague of some of the reference staff on the current International research floor of the same library. He publishes a regular lecture series on genealogical topics and maintains an active professional development practice.
He is open to collaboration on heir research, forensic genealogy, repatriation, and other projects requiring descendancy research and outreach to living individuals. He will serve you well.
My Process
I work with intentionally limited capacity, typically booking about 90 days out. This keeps my attention on a manageable number of clients rather than maximizing volume.
Standard turnaround is 90 days. You'll receive updates roughly every two weeks so you're not left wondering what's happening.
1. Planning
Before research begins, we define a specific, realistic goal together. I review any prior research you have—there's no sense paying me to rediscover what's already documented. I identify relevant finding aids, indexes, and databases upfront so the active research phase is as efficient as possible.
2. Research
Your definition of success drives the project. If your case requires expertise outside my specialties, I bring in a specialist I trust for that specific problem—not whoever happens to be available. I stay involved as your point of contact and ensure expectations are aligned.
3. Review
I evaluate all work before presenting it to you, including anything produced by a specialist. You receive polished findings, not raw notes that need interpretation.
4. Deliverables
You decide the format: online tree updates, a private database, a written report, or something else. I won't produce materials you don't want, though I do recommend a written summary for future reference.
5. Follow-Up
I aim for your complete satisfaction. If something needs addressing, I want to know.
